Glee abandons the merry nymph of herd,
And leaves her mournful daffodiles in sheaves.

Laughters ceased, joyancy and hope deterred,
That sounds of heaven in earthy world make.
Chorus of life fades, chimes to distance go,
And souls requiring consolation leap and forsake.
                                                   

Time spares not sore and sorrow, and ages grow.
Whereas Luciano, thy glary name asks no defence,
With the world deprived of all bright tunes hence.
